According to surveys by nutritionists, a baby’s brain develops most rapidly between the ages of 0 and 3. Therefore, mothers need to supplement essential micronutrients such as DHA and ARA to maximize their baby’s brain development.
Morinaga Chilmil No. 2 milk is produced on advanced, modern production lines and imported directly from Japan. It is designed for babies from 6 months of age and older, with high levels of DHA and ARA to help with vision and brain development. The milk is trusted not only by mothers in Japan but also worldwide.
What satisfies mothers when using Morinaga Chilmil No. 2 for their babies is that it minimizes constipation, a common issue with some formula milks. It helps children grow evenly in height, weight, and brain development according to WHO standards. Therefore, Morinaga milk powder is also known as “gentle” milk.
Morinaga milk powder is the first formula milk to include Lactoferrin, a component found in breast milk’s colostrum, which helps increase antibacterial ability and strengthens the baby’s immune system.
The addition of natural sugars like Lactulose and Raffinose improves the intestinal microflora, perfecting the baby’s digestive system, helping them absorb nutrients to the fullest while limiting constipation.
DailySavingz will now guide you on how to prepare Morinaga Chilmil No. 2 correctly!
Step 1: Prepare the necessary utensils
- First, wash your hands thoroughly with soap to ensure hygiene during the formula preparation process.
- You can prepare a cup and spoon or a bottle for mixing the formula.
- Note: When choosing utensils, select those with clear ml markings to accurately measure the milk and track your baby’s daily intake.
- Sterilize the utensils by immersing them in boiling water for 3-5 minutes or using a specialized sterilizer.
Step 2: Prepare the appropriate amount of water and Morinaga milk powder based on your baby’s age.
- Inside each box of Morinaga No. 2 milk, there’s a convenient leveled scoop for measuring. 1 leveled scoop = 5.6g of milk powder – makes 40ml of prepared formula. Use boiled water cooled to 50°C (122°F) for mixing.
- Refer to the recommended usage amounts printed on the milk can lid, as advised by nutritionists. The amount and frequency of feeding per day can be adjusted depending on the baby’s age, development, and individual needs.
Age | Amount per feeding | Feedings per day
Powder (scoops) | Prepared Volume (ml)
6 – 12 months | 5 | 200 | 5 |
12 – 24 months | 5 | 200 | 2 |
Over 24 months | 5 | 200 | 2 |
Step 3: Prepare the formula (for 200ml of prepared milk)
- First, pour 100ml of the prepared water into the bottle or cup.
- Add 5 scoops of Morinaga No. 2 milk powder to the bottle and shake well until the powder is completely dissolved.
- Then, add the remaining water (still at 50°C/122°F) to reach a total of 200ml, and shake again to ensure even mixing.
- Let the milk cool to 37°C (98.6°F) before feeding to avoid burning the baby. To cool it down quickly, you can briefly submerge the bottle in cold water. Test a few drops on your wrist; when it feels lukewarm, it’s ready.
Note:
- Do not change the mixing ratio without consulting a healthcare professional.
- Do not use water that is too hot (>50°C/122°F) to prepare the formula, as this will destroy beneficial bacteria.
- Only prepare enough formula for one feeding and feed it to your baby immediately. Do not pre-make formula or give leftover milk from a previous feeding.
- Only use the dedicated measuring scoop provided with the product.
- Do not use a microwave oven to heat the formula.
